Social News December 10, 2009 DAN AND JENNY WERNER of Peotone announce the birth of a daughter, Faith Jolene Werner, born October 27, 2009, at Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee. She weighed 6 lbs. and 13 ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Steve and Connie Roby from Warren, Mich; paternal grandparents are Lee and Nola Werner of Peotone. Jay and Erica Cairns of Plainfield are the parents of a baby girl, Harper Dean, born November 14, 2009. She weighed 6 lbs. 12 ozs. and was 19 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Terry and Jan Cairns of Oswego and Bert and Jen Butler of Peotone. She was welcomed home by her big sister Orienne, 2. MANROW HAMEISTER OF PEOTONE will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house on Sunday, December 20, from 2-4 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ Fellowship Room, 311 W. Corning Ave,. Peotone. Manrow was born December 29, 1919, in Beecher. He also was raised in Beecher and moved to Peotone when he married Anna Carstens. Their family grew to include daughters and husbands, Bonnie and Glenn Ginder and Judy and Dennis Cowger. Their grandchildren are Phillip and Tammy, Chad, Nathan Cowger and Kelly and Henry Reus, Scott Ginder, Kurt Ginder. Great-Grandchildren are Dakota and Mykayla Cowger. Manny farmed all his life and still continues to be involved in farming. ELMER AND ESTHER BIESTERFELD will celebrate their birthdays on December 13 at Zion Lutheran Church in Grant Park with an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Esther will be 85 on December 11 and Elmer will be 90 on December 18. The event will be hosted by their children, Beverly and Larry Couch of New Lenox, Barbara and Norman Meier of Newark, Ralph and Joleen Biesterfeld of Beecher, Bruce and Peggy Biesterfeld of Beecher, Elaine and Mark Nelson of Momence, Richard Biesterfeld of Bloomington, Kathleen and Richard Ernst of Manteno, Jeanne Wolkow of Chebanse and Janice Wolkow of Peotone. |
