Manhattan Patriots Football and Cheerleading organization announce registration Share
The Manhattan Patriots Football and Cheerleading organization's philosophy has been to teach the fundamentals of football and cheerleading, which prepares each football player or cheerleader for the next level of play. The organization was developed for area children to have fun and have a place that allows them to focus their energies in a positive manner. ''We feel our program also gives our participants useful lifelong values such as teamwork, respect for others, commitment, strong work ethics and how to establish and achieve their goals,'' Scott Evans of the Patriots said. ''Although we do not believe in a win-at-all-cost attitude, we do stress the importance of winning,'' Evans added. ''Winning is important as long as it is accompanied by good sportsmanship and the values previously mentioned.'' Tackle football is for ages 6-14 years (NO High School). Teams are a combination of age and weight for safety. Cheerleading is for youngsters in kindergarten through eighth grade.

''We have updated our jerseys and all our helmets to insure a safe environment for all our participants.'' The team is also proud to have the continued support of the Lincoln-Way School District, and will continue to use Lincoln-Way fields for their home games. Practices will continue to be in Manhattan.
