These programs are developed with the intention of eliminating barriers and to facilitate the participants in developing a balance of leisure and socialization skills. Recreation resources, opportunities, knowledge, and independence are provided in a variety of settings. LWSRA offers these services through a cooperative agreement with Frankfort, Manhattan, Mokena, New Lenox, and Peotone Park Districts. Proceeds from this year's candlelight bowl will go toward the funding of a permanent home for LWSRA, which will benefit individuals with special needs in the five communities. Russell Publications prints several community newspapers each week, serving Will, Kankakee and Cook counties.
